So more news of the future of LOTRO is upon us, in this letter are many interesting nuggets.

First: A New Class! We'll now be able to play as the Beorning, a race of men who have the ability to turn into giant bears. Potentially silly, and comparable to WoW's Pandas but they are lore so could make an interesting addition.

Second: Many new areas with the Paths of the Dead and Dol Amroth, The Dead Marshes and Pelargir all coming this year and Osgiliath and Minis Tirith coming the next. The level cap seems to increase by 5 every other one.

Third: Someone at Turbine's been playing The Elder Scrolls Online and decided to introduce siege weapons to PVP, they'll certainly mix things up, and hopefully balanced in a way that stops you from camping outside the enemies base camp.

Fourth: The concept of a housing update has been put to bed, as they say, it was never a huge deal so not worth resources that should be going into making the mechanics better.
