Battlefield 4 beta starts today
For those who have BF3 premium or BF4 preordered anyway, open beta starts on the 4th though, pretty sure it's fully open so anyone can join.
From the half hour I've played so far it seems good. Finally they've brought back the feature to be able to click on the map to choose where you spawn rather than having to remember names or scroll through the spawn points.
Graphics aren't quite what I'd hoped, Imagine that's mostly to do with it being Beta though with it not being finished. and If you fly a helicopter out of the combat area the scenery gets a bit amusing.
Some of the key bindings are weird too, for some reason toggling the minimap is on B. Madness.
Bodes well for the full game though, seems identical to BF3 but with an even more destructible (is that a word?) landscape, and the clicking on the map thing that won me over immediately.

Hmmm - might try it one of these days...
Am on the verge of invading the british islands in my Total War: Rome II after just defeating a surprise rebellion that spawned with 12!!! legions in the middle of the map while all my legions were as far away as you could imagine...
How big is the BF4 beta download ?

A bit under 6g.
I hear that in Rome II random rebellions and such only happen if you have money left in the bank at the end of a round. If you spend it all in the turn, nothing random will happen to tamper with your plans.
